Dr. Anne Ford

After 15 years of chronic cardiac disease management, Dr. Anne Ford has a new mission to prevent heart attack and stroke.  Her passion for cardiology started at Vanderbilt University where she met Dr. Stacy Davis. After shadowing her and watching her receive a call for a donor heart to save a critical patient, she wanted to become just like her.  Dr. Anne Ford studied and trained for 9 years after receiving her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering.  She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine more than 22 years ago.  Following IU, she completed her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver.  Feeling called back to Indiana, she launched her cardiology practice in 2009.

She strives to treat not just the physical but also the spiritual and emotional hearts of her patients.  She cares deeply and offers a personal, tailored approach to individualized cardiac care.  This style of practice requires additional time.  Dr. Ford has always been a creative problem solver and believes the best in those she serves.  She prays for God to hand pick her patients.  A field that is 90% male dominated has molded a certain fierceness into her practice of medicine.

She is a local Carmel resident, 3rd generation Carmel High School graduate married to Captain Caleb Ford an aviator whom she met in Colorado.  She often says that cardiology was her first born followed by son Connor and Cora.  On the first Thursday of the month, you will find her at the Christian Medical Dental Association CMDA women physicians Bible study.

She also has a LLC were she serves as an expert witness reviewing medical malpractice cases.
